Did You Know Tim Tebow Wants to Adopt Children?

Tim Tebow is the kind of role model we need more of. We could celebrate him for days, but here are just a few amazing things we love about this incredible athlete and philanthropist.

Often times, we admire athletes for their amazing skills on the field, but once the game concludes, their lifestyle can be less than inspiring. However, Tim Tebow has proven to be a powerful role model for years now. Tebow first starting making waves in the mid-2000s as a stand-out quarterback for the University of Florida, earning the Heisman Trophy in 2007. It came as no surprise that he was drafted into the NFL, joining the Denver Broncos in 2010.

Once he reached this national level of prominence, we were thrilled to see him using his fame to bring glory to God. Tebow went on to continue using the spotlight to magnify the things that truly matter and we love seeing him make such a difference in the world. So, in honor of the incredible way he lives his life, we wanted to celebrate what we love most about him!

He Gives God All the Glory

When Tebow’s football career took off, he recognized the incredible opportunity he was given to model faith in Christ to the nation. He made a point to kneel in prayer and gratitude before the Lord when Tebow felt God had helped him achieve greatness on the field. His posture became a national sensation and gained the title “Tebowing.” As fans emulated the pose across social media, Tebow even went so far as to trademark the term, to ensure that he could use the verbiage to always draw attention to work that brings glory to God.

Additionally, Tim knew he could spotlight messages of God’s love by writing Bible verses within his eye black during games. He even graced the cover of Sports Illustrated in 2009 with a message of Christ’s strength by pointing readers to Philippians 4:13 which reads, “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.”

He Started His Own Foundation

As Tebow’s fame began to rise, he recognized the opportunity to catapult his influence and create his own charitable foundation. The Tim Tebow Foundation works in a wide variety of ways to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. We especially love his Night to Shine initiative, which serves as a worldwide prom for people with special needs.

He’s an Advocate for Adoption

Tim has a beautiful passion for adoption and we love seeing the Tim Tebow Foundation offer adoption aid grants to families who desire to adopt a child with special needs.

We know that this passion for adoption extends beyond just a desire to see other families thrive. This a personal aspiration he has for building his own family as well. Speaking to People, he once said, “you know what I think would be awesome? If I could adopt a kid from every continent. I think that would be a pretty cool goal. I want to sit around the dinner table ever night and see kids from Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, right here in the States. How cool would that be? It’s one of my favorite things to dream about.”

He’s Ready to be an Incredible Husband

We were so excited when we read that Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters got engaged in January 2019! Nel-Peters is a stunning and generous woman who hails from South Africa and who won the title of Miss Universe in 2017.

He made a point to kneel in prayer and gratitude before the Lord when he felt God had helped him achieve greatness on the field.

We’ve always known that he was destined to be an incredible husband. From his commitment to remain pure for his wife, to his vulnerability about his desires to build a loving family, he was easily the most eligible bachelor of the past ten years. It was common for us to hear him make statements that celebrated family values to the press. “I’m looking, but I just can’t seem to find anyone. I don’t want to be single; I’m ready to settle down and start a family. I want to have kids. I have so many things I want. No one will be happier than me when I finally find the right person.”
