After the sudden death of her fiance, Jessica Padgett did the most remarkable thing on what was to be their wedding day.

Kendall Murphy and Jessica Padgett both grew up in Indiana and were madly in love when Kendall popped the question. She, of course, said yes!

Their special day was set for September 29th of this year, but tragically Kendall was struck and killed by a drunk driver.

Jessica was overwhelmingly heartbroken and devasted that she could no longer marry her best friend. But shortly after she received news that her bridal gown was ready, she decided to still walk down the aisle, despite Kendall's absence. Instead, she met him at his grave.

Jessica and all her loved ones gathered on her wedding day, in loving memory of her fiance.

"I wanted to still celebrate our wedding day, even though he wasn't physically there with me. I wanted memories of the day that we were supposed to have in my dress," Jessica shared.

Jessica's story went viral, encouraging those who were going through loss and grief to speak about their experience. Her tragic but beautiful story testifies to her strength as well as her love for Kendall.
