Over the last two decades or so, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has become a household name, known both for his larger-than-life stature and personality. But despite his megastardom, he’s not too big to celebrate those around him.

On Monday, Johnson posted a Facebook video of himself alongside his stuntman, Tanoai Reed, who had just returned to work after suffering an injury and was uncertain what the behind-the-scenes interview was all about.

Johnson, who has been working with Reed since they filmed “The Scorpion King” in 2002, said his stuntman “has been an incredible partner and brother to me.”

“I wanna say from the bottom of my heart, I love you, I thank you and enjoy your new truck,” the well-known actor said before stepping aside, revealing an all-black Ford truck topped with a massive red bow.

Reed, clearly stunned by Johnson’s warm-hearted gesture, was speechless and was immediately overcome with emotion. “Thank you so much,” Reed muttered quietly through tears.

“Tanoai Reed has broken multiple bones, severed tendons, torn ligaments [and] just been an overall dominating badass achieving several ‘Stuntman of the Year’ honors,” Johnson wrote in the video’s caption. “All done with one goal in mind—deliver the best movie possible to the world.”

The former wrestler, frequently referring to Reed as “uso,” the Samoan word for “brother,” said his hardworking movie partner “represents an entire Hollywood stunt community that is truly the backbone of our business.”
