Whether you’ve had a big event, been given a gift or simply want to thank a friend for taking you to coffee, sending a thank you note afterward is the way to do it. This one can be difficult but aim to send thank you notes as soon as possible after an event. Generally speaking, etiquette experts agree that notes should be sent 1-2 weeks after a shower or party. In the case of a wedding, the notes should be delivered within three months of the wedding date—but the sooner, the better!

Whatever you do when sending notes of any kind, be genuine. Your friends and family can tell when a letter comes from the heart.
