Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “stepping back” from their royal duties and splitting their time between the United Kingdom and North America.

It is reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking to spend a significant portion of 2020 in Canada—splitting their time between there and the UK.

It is also being said that preliminary talks to relinquish royal titles are underway which have only been fueled by the Duke and Duchess’ recent Instagram post which seemingly confirms both reports.

Today Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared that “After many months of reflection and internal discussions, [they] have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within” the Royal family. Confirming that they “intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and [will be working] to become financially independent…”

The post confirmed that the couple plans to balance their “time between the United Kingdom and North America.”

This news is both a shock and a confirmation of long-expected news for the young family.

Join us in wishing them all the best in their new season of life.
