Cheryl Nance Knabenschuh from Utah had a necklace in which she kept the ashes of her baby boy. Baby Quinn had died of Osteogenesis Imperfecta type 2. Cheryl was given the option to terminate the pregnancy when she found out about his diagnosis. However, she and her husband continued on and decided to give birth to the baby.
Quinn passed away two months before his due date. And Cheryl carries his ashes in a small necklace. Cheryl and her husband were looking at open houses in January in the Saratoga Springs and Lehi area when she realized the necklace was gone.
Cheryl wrote on her Facebook, “We also stopped at the 7-11 on Main Street in Lehi as well as Zupas in American Fork and Walmart in Cedar Hills. It wasn’t until after we were home later that day that I reached up for my necklace and realized it was gone.”
“It breaks my heart knowing I lost this and would appreciate anyone that would be willing to share this in hopes that I can get it back. It would be of no value to anyone else, but to me, it is beyond priceless.”
UPDATE: Thankfully the necklace has been found and returned to Cheryl. She wrote on Facebook: “I can never thank everyone enough for all your kind thoughts and prayers!!!! Every single one of you are amazing and will always hold a very special place in my heart!! Thank you so much!!!!”
What an incredible find, that meant the world to this precious mother.
