We’re so excited that The Art of Racing in the Rain is releasing in theaters on August 9. LightWorker’s Shamika Benn sat down with stars Milo Ventimiglia and Amanda Seyfried as well as Director Simon Curtis to learn more about this heartwarming family film.
The film is told through the perspective of a Golden Retriever named Enzo and gives viewers a chance to see into the life of his owner Formula One race car driver Denny Swift (played by Ventimiglia). This unique approach gives the movies something really special. “This perspective was awesome and hilarious!” Seyfried explains. “The narration of this dog is just things I think we need to hear on a daily basis… They have a lot of lessons to teach. You know, that innocence, that purity, doesn’t come in human form.”
Director Simon Curtis was excited to share a message of love
and family values in his film. “It’s a love letter to family and it’s a timely
reminder to cherish the people around you; whether they’re family or friends or
indeed your pets… because you never know what’s around the corner.”
