Lauren Daigle’s New Single ‘Rescue’ Soars to Epic Heights with Newly Released Music Video

Lauren Daigle releases music video for the song "Rescue" from her award-winning "Look Up Child" album.

Our favorite soulful savant Lauren Daigle does it again! This time with her latest release Rescue; a powerful ballad that will remind you that God is there throughout all the ups and downs. The song tells a story of the God of breakthrough and rescue, as pictured in Isaiah 46:4, “I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”

Lauren and her crew filmed the video in Alaska. The Louisiana native was shivering her timbers, but it was worth it. The vision was for the mountains and landscapes to convey the deep emotion of the song. The song was made well known through its appearance in the hit ABC show Grey’s Anatomy, and now Daigle is excited to share it with the world.

This powerful ballad has already touched countless lives, including mine. I recall once driving down Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles, California, feeling a bit lost and down and out about my purpose in life when Rescue came on. As I listened, tears streamed down my face with each lyric reminding me of God’s faithfulness and ability to rescue in every season. And then, as if in a perfect Kingdom set up, the guy in the car next to me saw me crying and heard the song before shouting to me: “That’s such a good song, I saw her last night in concert—LET IT OUT!” Shocked and amused, I laughed through the tears at how perfect that moment was, a tangible encounter showing just how powerful and alive Daigle’s Rescue really is.

Daigle has spoken of Rescue’s inspiration stating, “It was written for someone very close to me who was going through a difficult time. I wanted something that would comfort them in their time of need. That’s the purpose of the song, to give hope to people who feel lost.”

God is mighty to rescue and save. It is one of the attributes of God I love the most. In times of desolation, loneliness, lack and strife, Jesus is there ready to comfort. Ready to extend His hand “In the middle of the darkest night, It’s true, I will rescue you “(Rescue, Lauren Daigle).
