Autumn is upon us and so is our beloved American holiday, Thanksgiving. Do you ever need a reminder about the exact historical reasons for why we celebrate this holiday? In this episode of Totally Accurate History!, a lively group of adorable kids provide “the facts” behind the first ever Thanksgiving.

Who celebrated the first Thanksgiving? It was the Pilgrims, who wore the “little thing-ys,” of course. The Pilgrims left England to head for America because they heard it “was the most free place.” As one of our young professors explains in this video, “When they finally got to America, they said ‘I’m a Pilgrim. The first thing I will need from you is your wifi password.’”

After befriending the Native Americans (who taught them how to make a puzzle), everyone gathered together to celebrate freedom and eat a big feast.

Regardless of whether or not these kids were totally accurate in their history lesson, we can all agree that Thanksgiving is a truly special holiday. Who doesn’t love enjoying a delicious meal with loved ones and celebrating all that we are grateful for? Check out the video above for some laughs and get schooled by these young historians.
