We hear a lot about gratitude, but what is it really? It’s about more than just being polite to those around you. Adopting an attitude of gratitude is about shifting your perspective of the world.

In this episode of Stay Coached, Nathan Pirtle discusses the concept of gratitude and how it can influence every element of your life. Nathan stays busy as a Life Coach, founder, CEO and entrepreneur. When you’re involved with as many projects as Nathan is, it can become easy to lose perspective. Gratitude helps keep you grounded.

Life is full of ups and downs, and gratitude is particularly important during the times when things are going perfectly right. As Nathan reminds us, “When you have a grateful attitude, the bad things don’t seem so big. Don’t obsess over what’s going wrong or you’ll miss what’s going right.”

To illustrate his point, Nathan shares an incredible story about how a simple act of kindness completely redirected his life’s path: “If I didn’t show gratitude at that moment, I might not be where I am today.”

“It’s not always about the big things,” he continues. “We have to be grateful for the little things as well. Your life does not have to be perfect. Find something to be grateful for and you’ll see a change in yourself.”
