In this video, Seth dives in on the importance of empowering children to feel as though they are active contributors within the home. Sometimes helping children feel positive and confident in their contributions is as simple as reframing the word “chores.” Seth explains that “in our family this is so important to us that we actually took away the word ‘chores’ and we call it ‘contributions.’”

When people feel as though they are not able to contribute to something bigger than themselves, they may become unhealthy members of society. “One need all of us as humans have, is the need to contribute. You know, all of us have seen people who, in society, have nowhere to contribute, and worse yet, we see people who believe they have nothing to contribute.”
