20 Years Ago Bob Jones Prophesied Chief’s Superbowl Win, Declared it ‘A Sign of Upcoming’ Revival

Did the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl win carry more significance than we think? A key prophecy suggests it may be the start of a new wave of revival.

On 02/02/2020 Andy Reid, coach of the Kansas City Chiefs won his 222nd game at Super Bowl LIV. A jubilee year win, it was KC’s first Super Bowl victory in exactly fifty years. That’s where the story would end…if not for an old prophecy proclaimed by Bob Jones over twenty years ago and recirculated before the win by pastor and prophet, Shawn Bolz.

On his Instagram and Facebook, Bolz writes, “Bob Jones had heard from God that the Chiefs would go to the Super Bowl and win it. He shared that when they won it would be a sign of upcoming and end-time revival. He explained that God is raising up His chiefs to be apostolic leaders in many spheres of influence.”

The Chiefs won on 02/02/20, and in Ephesians 2:20, Paul writes about the prophets and the apostles creating a foundation for the chief cornerstone—Jesus.

“…having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the chief cornerstone.”

Okay, so we’ve got some twos, we’ve got prophets mentioning apostles rising up and the word chief all in one sentence—“great,” you say. But, it gets stranger.

Bob Jones died on February 14, 2014, but he was buried on February 22 (2/22). As were two other prophets who testified about visions concerning an end-times revival God would be sending. John Paul Jackson and Paul Cain, both of whom ministered in Kansas City along with Jones over many years, known as “The Kansas City Prophets,” were also buried on 2/22 in 2015 and 2019 respectively.

Of those prophets, Paul Cain reported seeing a vision over one hundred times of huge stadiums filled with people ministering and worshipping the Lord. One manifestation of this word happened on the very morning of the big Super Bowl game. On 02/02/2020 Kanye West performed with his choir at a sold-out event at Bayfront Park Amphitheater in Miami, Florida, worshipping the name of Jesus. Co-hosted by VOUS church, the 10,000 seat venue sold out the same day it was announced.

In Psalms 22:22 David promises, “I will tell of your name to my brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will praise you.”

And of course, there is the well-known Isaiah 22:22 prophecy concerning the Key of David that points to the coming Messiah:

“I will place on His shoulder the key to the house of David; what He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open.”

The numeric symbolism of this game played on 02/02/2020, being the 222nd win for the coach, prophesied as the beginning of an end-times revival by a prophet buried on 2/22 seems to have the makings of profundity. Is God speaking through these numbers? Even the Sports Illustrated Special Championship Commemorative Issue declared: “Kingdom Comeback.”

Do these numbers add up simply to serendipity or do they point us deeper, to the language of the Spirit? Either way, let it stir us to pray that the knowledge of Jesus and all He has won abounds across the earth to every tribe, tongue and nation. Let your revival come, O Lord!

“It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.” —Daniel 2:22
