Dear Joanna Gaines,
We all began to fall in love with you as HGTV’s Fixer Upper proved to be a smash hit. You were smart, patient, clever and consistently proved that your farmhouse-chic aesthetic could impact interior design across the country. You single-handedly introduced the term “shiplap” to the nation, and now we all are dying to rip open our own walls to see if shiplap is also hiding inside our own homes.
We can hardly contain our love for you, but here are some of the things we admire the most.

You do all things with grace
First of all, Joanna, we can’t get over how graceful you are. Regardless of if you’re helping to demo a house, move heavy furniture, chasing your children around your farm or simply just putting up with your husband Chip’s playful antics, you radiate grace.
You are a brilliant businesswoman
Before Fixed Upper elevated you to international fame, you and Chip were working diligently as savvy business owners to create the Magnolia brand. What started as Magnolia Market in 2003, a home-goods marketplace, has now exploded into an international lifestyle brand.
Magnolia home décor can be purchased at Target or Pier 1 as well as online. For those who visit Texas, there are ample Magnolia businesses spurring the local Waco economy: Silos Baking Company, Magnolia Realty, multiple bed & breakfast locations, the Magnolia Table restaurant and even an annual SiloBration concert and festival. You and Chip are also publishing the Magnolia Journal and books galore.
Joanna, you were brave and bold to believe that your businesses could thrive and now Magnolia is known on an international level, elevating Waco into an official tourist destination for those who love your aesthetic.

You love your family with excellence
You are an incredible mother and wife. We’ve watched you raise your four children with tender loving care on Fixer Upper, but we were so excited to share in your pregnancy joy as you recently welcomed your fifth baby, Crew, into the world.
With baby Crew at home, @chipgaines and @joannagaines are excited to have a new member of the family, eight years after they last parented a newborn 👶 https://t.co/HFQnUsvZfq pic.twitter.com/ne3lQnEg3v

You radiate God’s goodness
You and Chip are articulate and thoughtful in the ways you share your faith in Christ across your spheres of influence. We love the ways you always give glory back to God for the blessings in your life. In this video you say “I hear God say… Joanna, if you trust me with your dreams, I’m going to take Magnolia further than you ever dreamed. So, just trust me.” What a testament of God’s faithfulness to deliver on His promise! We are also so inspired by the faith you displayed to follow His word as well.
Joanna, we could go on for days about how much we adore you. While we’re sad to see Fixer Upper conclude as a show, we have no doubt that given your entrepreneurial spirit and incredible poise, you will continue to influence our lives (and interior design decisions) for years to come.
